Just a thought - Xbox controllers are usb. I modded one with a standard usb cable and occasionally use it for a game controller ;>) The newer versions of the drivers for it are fairly sophisticated and not to bad to configure. Mangled and modified it would give 6 pots, a directional pad and several configurable buttons.

I certainly do. Bully, young lad. Think of something that you might need, then think of a way to buy it/build it/hack something else into it.

Rubicon, actually I was considering some desktop uses....but....
in my car....
Really 6 variable controls and that many buttons might be overkill
but I've got this old AMD K-3 500 just dying to be used....
