jumpers should be labelled, i think i can see the letters but can't quite make them out.

M = master
S = slave (secondary if you want to call it that)
C = cable select (device works out what it is by where it's plugged in the cable, if it's plugged at the end of it's a master, if it's plugged in the middle it's a slave, and if it's plugged in the other end (which is further away from the middle) you've plugged it in wrong that's where the motherboard should be).

The jumpers are not labeled. There are only 4 pins, I am assuming that they might be CD connectors.

Is it true that the slimline drives with an adpater are not capable of having two devices on a single cable? Right now I am trying to use the dvd as a slave device to my boot disk.

Does anyone know the answer to this? I put a jumper across pin 1 & 2, 2 & 3, and 3 & 4 on Jumper 4, but the CD drive detected as a master even when on the slave port. I'd like to run this as a slave.

I have the same problem. This is really poor for this site to sell these devices with ZERO documentation. I am very disappointed. Shipping was fast! This does no good If I cant get specs on the parts I paid for. Googling brought no luck in a manual. If anyone has help, please share it with us unknowing people.

I have never had to install jumpers on the 2 drives I have. I select CS (cable select) on the hard drive and install an 80 pin cable and all of my MB's have found all the drives just fine.

From the picture above, the 3 lower connectors are floppy power, audio out, and audio out. It just supports the 2 different types. Both are stereo analog. There are no jumpers on the adapter.

I had to plug my slim slot load DVD inot IDE2 and then it worked fine.

Just curious your sig says something about a USB resume? Can you enlighten me on what this is, and what it does exactly?

I need to install my touchscreen drivers now, and am afraid to stick a mini DVD into my slot load drive! Can they handle those?
