Stand alone scroll bar?

Anyone know of a place to get a touch scroll bar, like the ones on the sides of laptop pads for scrolling up/down or sometimes right/left, that are standalone? (PS/2 or USB)

Never heard of a standalone unit like that. How about getting a touchpad that supports it, and masking out the rest of the pad?

you can hack a scroll wheel from a mouse to a knob and use that...

A full pad won't fit where I'm planning on putting it.

That was the alternate plan, pending no one on here knew of something like what I'm thinking.
