opel / vauxhall swc

Someone posted a linkto a site that has scematics (sp?) to use stock steeringwheel controls to usb or serial, and one of the was vauxhall / opel.

i know it uses a resistor network but dont want to rip it apart because when i sell the car i want to be able to just remove it.

anyone know of the site?

I remember I've seen this on Stevieg's site, but he drives a Focus...Still really usefull information.

yeah, but he ripped the resistor network out & wired it into a gamepad, ive seen a scematic that takes the signal from the resistor network and lets you connect the controls to usb or serial so i wouldnt have to hack the controls up.

have a look at the USB interface boards that Velleman Kit sell:

It has an analogue-input, and ActiveX control for making your own little program to do what you need.

It should work fine with a resistor network no problems. I had decided I wasn't going to spend any more money on the Car PC, though so I made-do with what I already had rather than spend an extra £30.
