USAspec just released their ipod adapter for the newer Hondas/Acuras (Includes 04-06TLs).
http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=879
For NAVI & XM compatible, they recommend a Y cable that allows you to tap into the BUS. I believe this is the same way the music link adapter works. Unfortunately, this adapter does not display text. Maybe they are only able to read the commands on the bus, and don't have the propers chips/timing to write to the bus? Hopefully, you can figure out how to do both.
Anyway, hope this helps with your project. I'm still interested in beta testing with my 05 TL navi.

You will need Y cable only to pass bus data to XM/Nav since when you add CD changer interface it ends up the bus with the default cable. So the cable just splits the bus so other devices can use it as well.

Hi, i've seen your product before and I've just found this post about a Toyota adapter! From looking at your pictures it appears that the connector you use is the small block cd changer connector. My toyota is an 97 Jap-only model which has the big block 12-pin, row of 5 over row of 7 connector on the back of the h/u. Would your product still be able to work with my headunit- obviously i would have to remove the small block connector and rewire it for the back of my headunit? from what I have been able to find, it appears that the cd changer control is the same, it's just the connector block which toyota have changed.

MBus adapter compatible only with aftermarket Alpine xDM-xxx units. That's the only aftermarket device supported...

Thanks for working on this. I've got an '06 Accord, which is basically the same as the '03-05 as far as the headunit is concerned. Ideally, I would be able to feed text from the carpc to the headunit. But even the ability to control the carpc with headunit buttons is awesome.

Ok im sorry i got a little confused on the website and this thread and am curious if the adapter will work with my car...
its a 2003 Honda Accord Coupe EXL-V6?
i know that there is a soundgate aux adapter but i would prefer this alternative as the stock controls would be nice.

Just curious, what the confusion is and where ?
Your car will work with the new adapter. The old one would work with Accord 98-02.

The confusion begins with where to buy it. I was on your page and it doesnt list the 03 accord so i wasnt sure what "adapater" you were talking about or where it can be purchased.
