Type "steering wheel remote" into the search box. Tons of info out there.

What's a "commodore"? You can only tell if it works by trying... Spend a couple dollars and build yourself an IR receiver, or buy one. Get or write software to trigger your programs to do stuff when you press buttons. Piece of cake.

Commodore - Built by Holden Aus - Owned by GM.
And all the holden supporters in Aus claim that the thing they have over ford is that Holden is Australian...

no the thing holden has over ford is that ford australia turns out the ugliest cars ever made + only the ugliest of the fords made in america. just type in AU falcon into google and you will see (there's only that te50 body kit that saves it at all) then there's the ugly rear lights on ford cougars and ford taurus's and ford lasers, the list goes on...i can't think of any butt ugly holden/gm cars that are out here, the latest barina is pretty crappy but thats what happens when a pretty crappy car is your aim...(my dad's work for a stage only bought commodores as work cars as no one would drive the fords, ofcourse the BA has changed this, specially when its offered to the company for alot less)

anyway, i belive autobarn sell a unit that lets you use the commodore steering wheel controls with aftermarket headunits, there's also probably people on commodore forums who know how to make their own...anyway from there it'd be the same as any of the other controls....

my only idea would be to hack up a keyboard so the buttons work with repective keys that do what you want, i was thinking of doing this since at this stage i just use winamp as after a few months i still haven't worked out how to use any front ends in a way that doesn't annoy me, so i just use the keyboard shortcuts to save me pressing the small buttons on the screen and was thinking of hacking up a keyboard with some custom buttons to do the same thing...

Just as a foot-note.
If you're trying to make me feel bad for saying ford over holden, don't bother.
1. Personal experience gives me my answers. And
2. I'm a Toyota man

YEah, well, tell that to all the Aussies who think so.
Bah.
Just personal preference.
Not looking to start a whole debate.
But yes, Toyota, born and bred.
