Lilliput Touchscreen problem

After many attempts I cannnot seem to get the touchscreen to work on my in-dash lilliput. I have installed both old and new drivers and nothing works. The computer shows the touchscreen as a USB touchscreen controller but the touchkit does not pick it up on any com ports it seems. I took apart the screen to check for loose or damaged connections and all looks well. When I go into touchkit it displays a usb id but when i click the add button it does not detect anything. any ideas? Thanks in advance

Hey im having issues with my Innovatek touchscreen, I know how it is man. Lemme mention some things that I haved looked at solving the problem with mine, and see if that can help some.

1. How far is the physical connection from the monitor to the usb input on the motherboard? The USB standard protocol states that it can only accomodate 15 feet, so that might be a reason

2. Check the physical connection on the controller board with a DMM, make sure pin matches up to pin and continuity is attained on both ends of the connectors on the USB end and the micro plug on the controller board inside the screen itself

3. Are the proper USB drivers for your particular motherboard installed?

I wish i could help you more, but those are 3 things ive tried to fix mine and it hasnt helped, ive wished someone on MP3car fourms would of helped me, but hasnt happened.

I don't have the lilliput, but you say the screen shows up as a USB touchscreen controller, where? In the device manager?

Is there a Com Port under the ports part of the device manager that's assigned to the touchscreen controller? If not, it's still a driver problem I'd think. Either that or your touchkit software.

Correct, The usb touchscreen controller shows up in the device manager as a mouse

The touchkit app does not seem to find the touchscreen on a com port

Touch Screen Driver Problem

Had the same issue as a lot of people here on the forum.
Details of Problem:
- Touch Screen installs under pointing devices in Device Manager
- TouchKit does not automatically detect USB Touch Screen
Details on Resolving Issue:
- Double click the USB Touch Screen listed under pointing devices in Device Manager
- Update Driver > Install from specific location
- Do Not search I will choose driver to install > Click Have Disk
- Navigate to the CD and choose the USBTouchKit driver from the windows 2000/XP directory
- TouchKit USB Controller will appear above Universal Serial Bus controllers and you will be done.
You, basically, have to force feed Windows the correct driver. PM me with any questions.

If this was written better, I'd say make it a sticky!
