Which monitor? Lilliput or Xenarc?

hey guys, i've currently been researching monitors, trying to find the best one for the least ammount of money. Mainly what i am looking for is a good 8 inch monitor that has very good resolution. So far, there are two Lilliput monitors that have caught my eye. I would buy them most likely, but i am being timid because of the fact that they are from an Ebay store.

Lilliput monitor #1
Lilliput monitor #2

These two are both XGA touchscreen monitors, and they claim to have a 1024X768 resolution, which seems large to me.

The third monitor that i am lokoing at costs more money, and supposedly has a smaller resolution. This is not from an Ebay store, but from an online retailer nonetheless.

Since all of you have had alot more experince with car computer than me, i would just like some input in these monitors (have you had any experiences with the brand, etc), and tell me if you think thier stats and prices are reasonable.

Thanks

I run my 7" at 1024x768. I can see text very well at 12pt, but you have to look. 20pt is just right. 800x600 is probably the most common, but I blew up that chip in my mointor so it was either 1024 or 640.

eBay stores are just fine. Just make sure it is a responsible seller with good feedback. Make sure to look at the last couple of auctions they have sold and check out the feedback people have left them. Disregard the feedback from people of only 0 or 1 themselves because it could just be the seller making duplicate accounts to raise feedback.

Also. Are you sure you want an 8"? I bought one because they were cheaper than the 7", and I got more screen, but there was no way in hell it would fit my dash easily. A 7" widescreen fits a double din very well. If you have a monstrosity of a truck or something, then go ahead, but consider yourself warned!

Even though it may not say 1024x768, it can probably do it. Most VGA monitors can do that by default. It probably doesn't have the best results so they don't want to misinform people whereas on eBay, they don't care. If it can do it (albeit, not so good, then it goes on the page!)

Both screens have advantages over the other. Basically cost vs. quality. Xenarc == expensive == good quality and better in sun. Lilliput = Walmart prices == works (but for how long), and any sun, don't count on reading it.

If in direct sunlight, you won't be able to see at all without the "transflective upgrade" Costs quite a bit though. Look in the mp3car store for the pricing on the transflective screens.

That horse isn't dead enough yet. We need to use his hooves to make Altoids and Jello... oh yeah and glue for little children to eat.
