What are you using to input without a touchscreen?
I'm curious to know what everyone is using to input to their carpc without using a touch screen.
What remotes? What knobs? What keypads? What else?
While I know that someone can search to find this information, perhaps a thread listing the options that people have found and their results would be helpful.
Lets have it!

How about this?
It's called ccStick iD and it's made exclusive for the in car use.
If you need more information about, visit ccStick.com.
It'll be available in the US as soon as we find a distributor there.

Boy, after seeing that I almost didn't bother to post my little ghetto setup... but I will!
Took some major mods to the car to install (actually hacked off shifter 2" above base) - Created custom stalk, springs, and shift lever to position stick for comfortable use while driving; had to destroy joystick base and install electronics beneath gear shift cover; and wires had to be extended.
What's interesting about the CH FighterStick is it actually has three sets or modes, of which I only use one, so there's lots of room for expansion. Between Joy2Mouse and RR's Keytable.ini, I can control anything and everything. Joy2Mouse also autoswitched configurations based on the window in focus. So I've created config files for RR, FireFox, IE, AIM, Outlook, as well as games, etc. and Joy2Mouse takes care of changing the button codes.
My only complaint is the buttons have a super light touch as compared to the real thing in the F-15, so I have to think first to lightly move the hats and buttons. I have bumped into it a few times (mostly pausing the music) and thought the PC had locked up - I freaked out, even rebooted once and then realized what I had done.
My Eldorado has a Logitech Extreme (looks more elegant for the luxury car) that doesn't have nearly the complexity of the FighterStick, but just as comfortable to use. And Joy2Mouse automatically recognizes which joystick is connected and loads the appropriate profile at startup.

A touchpad of an older laptop, but it is not built-in.
I am planning to buy a small optical cordless USB mouse...

are these available in the US yet? It seems like this site's store would be the perfect distributor.
