It appears to be smaller than these other units posted.

It's only 320x240 at 30fps but supposed to do 960x720 somehow. I haven't seen it do that though. I do like it better than my LifeCam 7.1 MP thing and every other cam I've tried. Here's a front shot...

Edit: Got it. It does do 640x480 at 30fps, and 1.3MP still caps. Here's front and rear 640x480 zoomed all the way out. Rear window is tinted (click for full size).

Here is my PT Cruiser mount:

I have a SuperCircuit PC823XS mounted in a modified logitech webcam housing.

The camera specs are:
120 degree field of view
480 lines of resolution
Full color
0.05 Lux low light rating
Auto shutter, auto gain and auto backlight

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

My mount is made with bend aluminum stock, and a modified mini-tripod.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The bent aluminum holds in place just as it is, but I also added strong trim-tape to keep things from moving when the back is shut.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have tested the camera, but I don't have it permanently wired up yet.
It is small enough not to get in the way looking back, my windows are tinted such that it is hard to see it from the outside.

Not yet, as I haven't decided on how I am going to interface to my LCD.

Hey, that looks like the top of a little Targus mini tripod. Great idea zap! I always have trouble lining mine up with double-sided tape.

That is a Targus tripod ($13 at bestbuy)

I bought enough aluminum to make a bracket that would share bolts with the back-up light bolts. (I don't like making new holes in the car)
But it just worked out that it holds in place without needing bolts.
That 3mm thick aluminum was surprisingly easy to bend into shape using just a clamp, mallet and the edge of my work table.

It doesn't show lux so you can't tell how good it will be at night or did I miss something?

Where did you get this camera? Is it a CCD sensor?
