CIMR-100 Remote Problems

Hi,
I have following problem with my CIMR-100 Remote from Creative. I can push any button on the remote but the window shows me everytime the same number of assigned key 77....160. If I program all keys of the remote to different functions all remote buttons just mute the M.E. I tried everything which was mentioned in the threads (checking on baud rate of 2400, deleting everything in keys.ini or better said now called kb.ini; it is directly connected to the serial port COM1). The M.E. version is 2.3.5 and running on XP Pro. I have also usb touchscreen and the mainboard is a VIA EPIA M10000. It was running good in my old car with the same hardware except different display (no touchscreen and no vga) and the CIMR-100 was still in the housing. I hope that the plastic housing does not have something to do with it (maybe that the dark plastic in front of the ir diode is a filter or so)!?!?! This is driving me nuts

Oh, and by the way I do not want to use something like Girder or the software which came with it for key assignment. Please help me!!!

I just tried out Girder but it does not work!!! It does not recognize the remote. I can press any button on the remote but it does not detect it. I turned off the onboard COM ports and installed the usb to serial adapter but it still does not work!!! Tomorrow I will take it out and resolder the board of the IR receiver.

Resoldering did not work!!! I give up and buy a new remote!!!
