etchin_uk Newbie Join Date: Oct 2006 Posts: 5	synaptics touchpad to usb i have managed to find some information on this forum about modifying synaptics touchpads. http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/input-devices/71733-synaptics-touchpad-tm41puk324.html and http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/input-devices/32899-laptop-touchpad-ps2.html both threads refer to the touchpad being intergrated with the ps/2 slot, however, i was wondering is there a way to wire the pad up to a usb slot??? or even a serial port?? any help would be great

etchin_uk Newbie Join Date: Oct 2006 Posts: 5	i cant just buy one, its for a project im doing. could i interface the ps2 to a serial connection just by hooking up the correct pins? or would there be a problem with protocols again or the serial not understanding the ps2 input?
