touch screen
i have a gvision 15 in touch screen the back light was not working so i sent it back to the manufactur but I can not get the touch screen to work i down loaded the drivers from the web sit and it still wont work. i bouht the unit from ebay and as far as i can tell it is a touch. any help?

Do not cross post.
And when you hook it up, do you plug in VGA and USB/Serial/parallel?

Ok, the screen is VGA, but is there any other wire!?
VGA only transmits video data. if it is Touchscreen, then it needs to use another COM port. Not unrelated.

By post you ment wires on the gvision not not the two post i have going on now.yes there is two wires coming out of the screen and thay both have differant post one is a male and the other is female so i cant get them crossed. if i down loaded the drivers is the only explanation tht it is not a touch or is gvision just a bad screen?

No which is male doesn't matter. But informative questions are the only way to get an informative answer.
Since it is serial, it is very old. Have you tried TouchKit's drivers? You need to match the correct baud rate and everything to get it to work correctly. Have you properly configured it?

I went on the gvision web site and down loaded the drivers thay had but from what you say i could of downed the new ones and not the older verson
is usb the new kind?

Yes USB is the new kind. They don't even make serial touschscreens anymore.

No serial screens still work, they are just not as supported.
