WebCam constantly stops working

My webcam is only working for about 30 seconds at a time, after which I have to disable/enable it in the Device Manager to start over. The CarPC only has USB 1.0, and the webcam works fine on my other, newer computers with USB 2.0. That may be the difference. The camera is plugged into one of two USB hubs on the motherboard; not that it matters. Any suggestions?

could be the cam isn't usb 1.0 supported.
