how much heat will this kind of motherboard produce?
i was looking around the web and stumbled upon this motherboard. i think this is for a laptop, right? would this kind of motherboard produce too much heat? or will this work well for a carputer?

  Full grown, FYI: Its best to post as much info as possible when inquiring about a specific product. It may get you better results.

You can easily go with mobile components rather then desktop. Mobile will have less power draw. The heat though will still be an issue. As long as you have good cooling then your fine.

No.
I'm curious to know what makes you think this could be a laptop board.
Typically, end-users can't purchase a laptop motherboard.

Motherboards don't produce heat. CPUs produce heat. You can choose a CPU that doesn't produce a lot of heat or you can choose one that will not only play your MP3s, bu also act as a warmer for your pop-tarts.
Research will help you determine a CPU that will produce less heat.
I agree with the assessment of others. This board is some serious overkill for a car install.
It will make a fantastic gaming rig. But gaming rigs suck power like no tomorrow. High power draw is not what you want for a vehicle installation.
