My Laptop install Theory

Ok, So im about to do this, just waiting for my screen to come in.

Basically i will run an inverter from an ignition powered source
Turn the computer on, set the settings as follows:
When lid closes no action
Hibernate when batter reaches 90%

With those two settings, coupled with teh touchscreen that would power on with ignition, the PC woudl remain running at all times. When the Screen turns on, tap it to take it out of hibernation. If for some reason that doesnt work, put a mouse somewhere and plug it into the USB hub mounted up front and move it.

super duper simple, no long startup and shutdown waits, hibernate shoudl last at LEAST 2 days on a 90% battery.

any commetns criticism?

I think you are confusing hibernation with standby. hibernation turns the computer totally off, it writes info to the hard disk so it will restore your last session. you can pull the plug, battery, or whatever and it will still restore the last session. touching the screen will not bring it out of hibernation or standby, best thing to do is extend your power switch.

I was talking about "tapping" your touchscreen lcd like you were saying.

Edit: I can't with mine anyway, maybe for some reason laptops are different but I don't think so, search around if it's been done it will be here.

liek i said, also if tapping doesnt work, a mouse mounted somewhere will work as well to tap the mouse button

just giving you a suggestion for a more oem look/feel. everyone does it different and has their own preferences. guess I shouldn't of said this was the best way.

When I tried this, tapping won't work once you shut off the the monitor. I just use a cordless mouse instead to wake it up from sleep.

its the only way to fit a 10j -30 wheel

plus it has a Custom (designed by me) air suspensino, using 240sxc teyp suspensino alla round, instead of the stupid **** that came on it with the one piece front knuckle/shock thing.

Its a VIP car, so honestly, the camber is normal
