Hello, I am new here, but have been lurking for a while. I am in process of doing a remote power button on my laptop but seem to have run into a point of confusion, now I am not doing the soldering myself but need to inform the person I am having do it exactly what needs to be done, can somebody please explain to me the best way to achieve this... Thank you! I really appreciate any help!

The 2 pins you have with arrows, if they really do turn on the PC when bridged, then solder 1 wire to each of those points. Those are now your button leads into your DC-DC and/or manual button.

I am just curious if it is even possible to solder something like that, there is very little to no solder holding the power button on.

It's possible ... but you need a steady hand and a magnifying glass.

I just did the same thing on an Asus P548L (Something like that) MB ...

It really is a simple switch ... one side of the switch is 5V+ and the MB waits for that 5V to get pulled to ground before initalizing.

All you really have to do is figure out which leg of the switch is 5V and solder your wire there. The ground side of the switch can be soldered to any part of the chassis that is grounded.

I ended up soldering my connections on the bottom side of the MB ... not the gap in between the switch and the MB ... it was too tight in there (1 mm I believe ...)

I have tried multiple times to solder 2 wires to the points and no matter how careful i am it breaks everytime. Its so much of a PITA that i bought a barebones system and am putting my laptop HD into it just to be done with my system.
