hp tc1100 tablet and dock dash-mount

i want to put a tablet pc in my car. i want it to be built-in to the dash for a clean look. but, i want to be able to slide the tablet in and out easily for safekeeping and outside use.
i thought the best way to have this sliding ease of use and still be able to have the peripherals (dvd drive, gps, external lossless music hard drive) was to build the docking station into the dash. but, to have access to the dvd drive on the dock i would need to be able to separate the dock at the hinge and rearrange how the bottom part of the dock faces. has anyone tried this, or does it at least sound possible?

actually, i use this dock with my tablet PC at werk. it will fold all the way back against the base, and the top of the dock can rotate to landscape and portrait holding the tablet in it.

for the DVD drive, you can hook it in the side of the tablet pc itself with an additional exteral bay module, but it will take up BOTH of the TWO usb ports on the side.

I also thought about mounting it in the car, but that dock weights about 15 lbs...and no way to hang it on the back unless you drill holes or something.

I'm guessing that because you're considering doing this, that you have not actually used a tabletPC? You know that it's not a touchscreen?

lol i was wondering that myself if he knew that. in case he doesn't, it requires the tablet pc pen for all "touchscreen" functionality. ...and they are not cheap at $54 a piece.
