Cool Tablet PC as carputer

Hi Folks, newbie here
Dont know if this has been brought up yet, but I am using a tablet PC as my carputer.Since it is a tablet, I use it vertically with the keyboard folded up inside. It is an Averatec C3500.
I have touch screen interface via a stylus. It has 60gig HDD, but I have installed an external HDD of 160gig, to hold my music (about 80gig so far),under the back seat.
It has wifii to get online in hotspots, and my driveway. I use an orinoco gold wifi card hooked up to an external antenna.
Of course GPS navigation is a snap with streets and trips and a $45 GPS reciever.
Line out audio into aux. line in on my head unit.
Of course, it plays DVDs
1 gig of DDR ram
12" screen with very easy to use brightness control.
It runs an AMD athlon M 2200 processor.
DVDrom/CDrw drive
Plus take it in the house, or motel room when you want with minimal disconect.
Cost $1100 after rebates

I think I have everything a carputer should have.....but...it is not a custom/indash install from components.Easy to move when it comes time for new vehicle.
I praise those in this group for their creativity, patience, persistance, and knowledge, but for me, this was the best route. I only had to build a mount. Not much of a problem for a good carpenter.
Flame me if you want for this approach that is not in line with what I am seeing on this group, but hey...it is just an alternative!

I guess...

I guess its one approach, I can't flame ya too bad because 5 years ago I started out with the same setup, except back then didn't have dvd functionality.

Anyhow, my systems grew from that and are almost completely embedded into my truck.. I'll never go back to the laptop setup I'd miss to many conveniances..
