Laptops with Sudden Motion Sensor (SMS)

Anyone using a computer with an SMS in their car?

How does it fare? Does the computer slow down considerably because every bump and vibration it thinks is a fall?

I'm thinking specifically a Thinkpad or Macbook (Pro.)

I'd think it'd take a pretty serious bump for that to activate, but I don't have one, so I don't know.
