Question Sunlight-Viewable Touch Screen Tablet?

Noob here.

I searched around but couldn't find a thread to answer my question.

For durability and security reasons, I am thinking about buying a tablet PC for my new Jeep Wrangler (used extensively off-road).

I have been looking at the Motion LE1600TS, but the touch screen model does not include a daylight-viewable screen option.

Anyone know about a decent daylight-viewable touchscreen tablet?

Can I get away with using the "non-touchscreen" version work with my finger instead of a stylus?

Thanks.

Yes. Dell just released a tablet PC that has a daylight viewable screen AND the touchscreen will respond to the touch of a finger. Have your high-limit credit card ready, though.

That dell ATG has amazing sun light readibility unfortunately its also a 14.1" display. Making it umm not quite the right size for a car.

There are some fujitsu Tablets with Sunlight readibility (now on known as SLR). The readibility in the sun isnt as awesome as the dells but its still VERY good. In the long run an expensive but proper tablet will save you tons (money+headache).

Check some UMPCs. I believe the Samsung Q1 is LED backlit. I know the OQO has a great display but is not touchscreen (you need a pen). Hopefully that should help.

that Q1 has a glossy coating that makes it barely readable in sunlight from what I know/remember.
