Quite a few people although maybe not the Q1 specifically. There is a thread with links to video of one working so have a search.

not that I'm aware of, but that doesn't mean it hasn't been done.
I know that VW and mp3car.com/streetdeck, and Intel are working with a UMPC.
There's a video of it on the streetdeck site, but it's not running like you are mentioning.

a umpc is just a tiny pc... the majority of guys considering this are doing so with the intention of using the whole thing as-is.. including the screen... if your going to hide it away & run another screen anyway, then there is no real benifit in buying a umpc, it'll be the least performance for the most money, & if hidden then there are much cheaper options... a $400 laptop may be faster & more performance oriented than a $2k umpc....
add to this, to me, the only way to consider a umpc docked in the dash, using the screen from the umpc, is if you can use a unit with an outdoor viewable screen, otherwise the end result of spending thousands will be something that is much dimmer than even the stock lilli's & xenarcs, & will be pretty useless during the day....

Anything USB yes no problem the Q1 even has a gps mouse as an optional accessory. It has a monitor D sub so external monitor is easy.
Its available in the UK for £650 now so I would have thought you could get it in the states for around $1000.
I really don't see the point in sticking another monitor on it mind you. Putting it in the dash itself would be the way I would go with it. Once its there you get the other benefits like the mic array for echo free phone use and stuff like that. They are pretty cool items but whether it would make the best car PC I guess is up to you and your needs.

will it pull road runner, or streetdeck, with no problem? would it be fast enough? i am looking at laptops for the same money. this would be perfect, becuase i can take it out of my car, and into another car. in the reviews it said it cant handle 3d graphics on youtube i saw world of war craft being played on it.... back to my question. It also comes with AVSation it looks decent, i wonder does it have a gps pluggin?
