Laptop Powering

Hey i am new here and have been looking around for a few days and have a question, yes I have searched before I asked.

I am interested in making a Carpc with my laptop, but since I use this laptop for alot of things I dont really wanna take it apart. Anyway I see many people even if they have a laptop still use DC - DC, I was wondering what would be the problem if I used something like this

Thanks for your help

Probably will have no problems with that, other then the usual chances of noise, though laptops seems to be better protected from noise and voltage changes.
