matter of fact, why dont you guys just take down the forums and just leave all the FAQs since every question has already been answered, and while youre at it, come to my house and pry the ? key off my keyboard. thanks for nothing.
You know, if the answers to your questions hadn't been blantantly posted in numerous stickies this wouldn't be an issue. And if you're complaining about there being so many stickies, maybe it should be taken as a sign that they are valuable and are there for a reaon.
Want to know why you have had problems searching?
A) you didn't use the correct search terms
B) others, just like yourself, have posted the exact same things and have been told the same things again and again....it makes searching that much more difficult.

Asking a question is perfectly fine, but be prepared to get linked to some resource that will answer your question.
We don't spoon-feed people here. Maybe you do at the site where you're an admin. More power to you.
This is a hobby where being able to troubleshoot, solve problems and think on your feet. If you're not willing to actually look for an answer, you're going to have a very rough go of any vehicle PC project you attempt.
So...
Here are some starter links for you to do some research:
Newbie FAQ (again!): http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=78795
FAQ Emporium (A collection of informational write-ups): http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=106
MP3car Wiki (Still not 100%, but growing daily): http://www.mp3car.com/wiki
Wiki page specifically about powering an in-car PC: http://www.mp3car.com/wiki/index.php/Power
I highly suggest you do some research and learn a thing or three about the hardware we use before you get all ****y because someone gives you a link to read rather than the answer to your question on a silver platter in 72pt Bold Arial Italics in a pretty seafoam green.

Well, first off...WHAT Dell laptop do you have?!!! How can WE be specific when you ask a generic question (that has been answered daily anyway).
Say you had a C600. Go to eBay, buy an "Auto/Air" adapter for it, and then hack the laptop open, wire up an external switch to turn it on, and buy or build the "laptop auto power on" module.
Hopefully you have a C600, or else my recommendations may not work! Some Dell's wont work with a non-OEM power supply.
Now that you have key words, try to search...i bet it works

Nobody ever said you got linked in this thread... Although I did provide you with four.
In your other thread (located here), Red (the admin you decided to call a 'dick') linked you to the Newbie FAQ, which has answers to all your questions, including the answers about power supplies.
(Her post is here)
Now...
In this thread, I provided you with four links that have a great deal of information. Please read them.
I'm sorry you want people to cater to you and your questions and give you answers to all your questions right here in this thread.
Frankly, that's dumb, because the answers are already here for you. You've been linked to them.
Please make use of the information that's already here. Admittedly, sometimes there's a lot of bull**** to wade through. We're trying to rectify that, and it gets better each passing day.
The information is still there for you to access, if you choose to.
Thus far, you seem to choose not to, for whatever reason. That's nothing any of us can rectify.

Red, did you have an operation we didn't know of?
FYI, females don't have dicks, and Red, for as far as I'm aware, is still a female

I am sure he would have picked up on this if he could read, but his posts leave to to believe he is illiterate.
