i have a dell notebook i was thinking about mounting in the trunk instead of building an itx system. would i be able to connect a dc-dc power supply to it so i would be able to direct wire it to my vehicle?

As Red has said in your other thread, use the search function. You can't escape it. You can start all the threads you want, but we are anti-spoonfeeder around here.
Short answer: yes.

And yes it can power your monitor...

jesus.. god forbid someone comes on here trying to get some goddamn help without having to read through 12,000 pages of stickies and faq
matter of fact, why dont you guys just take down the forums and just leave all the FAQs since every question has already been answered, and while youre at it, come to my house and pry the ? key off my keyboard. thanks for nothing.

I advise this link: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=66940
And as for using the M2-ATX to power your laptop. Alright lets fantasize this for a moment. How will you be connecting the M2 to the laptop? I say go for it if your laptop has an ATX connector that you can plug into.
Look in the mp3car store for laptop power units such as the carnetix unit. Search for a laptop shutdown controller.
You will discover that powering a laptop does not require a M2 or any other full PSU. Just a voltage regulator and a good input.

well, i read through that link, and dont see what i did wrong. show me where it says not to ask any questions. i did a search and couldnt find anything. so i asked a question. and got some rude responses.
anyway, forget the m2-atx. what about a car-puter type itx dc-dc power supply, like the ones you guys sell here. woul i be able to rig that up to my dell notebook? thats what i want to know. yes, or no. and if yes, how do i do so? im sorry, but there isnt a single thread on here to answer that question. ive been on for over and hour and cant seem to find ****. thanks.

hell..... you know.... I'm getting tired of your lazyness.... so here it goes: An M2-ATX IS an (itx) DC-DC....
DAMN.... 2K1Toster gave you the ONLY option you have and still you don't get it..... If you don't understand how it all works, or don't want to da any effort yourself, just stay away from this hebby!!!
See, I'm pretty much a n00b when it comes to car-pc's and car-audio and still, I have a maximum bitrate, which means the info I provide is correct. Now.... How do I know what I know? 3 freakin' years of reading, reading and more reding!!!! Not being scared when a certain topic counts 50 pages, I've read it all. And if I felt like I couldn't find the info I was searching for, I searched more specific and in other places.....

well, it's sort of true I came from variable bitrate to maximum bitrate at once
How many of the regulars here knew I was a n00b? I'm guessing none.... 3years of constntly reading really helped me out, you know!
