Laptop Power Supply

I bought a generic Laptop power supply on ebay for my hp zv5000 which I'm using for a carputer. I'm looking for some advice from my fellow diy'ers.

Good news: It is outputting at my 18.5V and 6A.

Bad news: The plug fits, however, the diameter of the plug is slightly smaller than the actually space.. by about 1-2mm. This causes the plug to hang a just a tad loose and kill connection periodically. Any thoughts on how to properly secure this plug? If I get too fed up I'm soldering the bastard on there with wires!
