Touchscreen 'ribbon' cable...
Is there any way to fix a broken 'ribbon' cable (sorry, dont know the tech term. ) to the touchscreen. Somehow during taking it apart and putting it back together, the one 'wire' was ripped, so now windows doesnt recognize the touchscreen.

If the contact points on the touch panel are easy to get to , you could solder on a new cable.
The flex ribbon itself is not repairable.

No. Cant get to the contact points. This one here looks exactly like mine. Will it work or what? I have the VM7200 from short-circuit. Both are 4 wire ones and the ribbon is in the same spot.

If your connector looks like this, then I have a new panel in stock.
55.00 shipped in US.

You can try repairing it using window heater/defroster wire repair. Basically, it's a conductive paint and can be found at autopart store. I am not sure if it work, but trying is the key .

If that doesn't work, try putting a sponge under the cable, scratch a bit on the surface to remove the isolation and then solder directly to the wire. Sponge should be wet, of course
