SUPER/AVATAR Controller pinout needed

Hi guys,
I bought a 2nd hand Super VGA LCD TS that has some of the connector cut due to the stupid placement of the main connector. While doing the fab, I found that it is impossible to place the controller without any interfere with the existing components. So I have few option to work with.
- Extended the high voltage wires (CCFL wires).
- Chop the CCFL inverter and extended the input wires.
- Desolder the 26 pin connectors and solder new different connectors.

The first 2 options give me an option to have the controller lying horizontally in the setup. I am kindof don't want to chop the inverter unless it is broken like greenman100 did. Cutting CCFL is okay cuz i did it before with the PSOne, but because of the fire risk (Although I had no problem for 2+ years with the PSOne using regular wire) I want to do it the correct way. Either these 2 options I take, I still endup with a stupid connector. So I take the 3rd option, desolder the connector and make new one. So here we go.

The controller look exactly like this. Thanks to eric couratier.

I called this the "front" side which is all the components attached to. The "back" side is where the solder joint is as in this pic. Thanks to greenman100


Now if you look at the back of the controller (greenman100 picture) I label the pin like this.

Top of the controller. I called it CN. 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 Bottom of the controller where you plug the harness in. Male 9pins mini DIN from the harness (see attach image). ==== 7 8 9 3 4 5 6 1 2

Now let match the pin together. Those label as GROUND are all well GROUND. I just don't know which ground to which like VGA ground, audio ground (just assumpt that if it next to audio, it's audio ground.)

Now can you guys fill out the ???? in the above pin?
Or can anyone take a closeup picture of the main connector and the related connectors (Video, SVid, Audio ... ). My main connectors still have something left that I can use as reference to trace the pin.

You guys suck. With that many of you guys buying this same/similar screen and no one can take a good pic for me?



Anyway, it's time to kiss good buy that stupid connector.

Tools responsible for taking that connector out.


After 2 hrs and burn my 2 fingers ( bubble), the sucker is OUT

See that CAT5 Cable? Yup that is going to be the new cable with 9pin special mini DIN pre-solder.


After taking that connector out, I am sooooo freaking

You rock, I owe you big time for this post. I also removed that stupid centronics 26pin connector and soldered directly to controller. I feel like ***** now for not contributing more to this forum and its members. My thanks to you.
