Problems displaying photos on my 8" Lilliput Touchscreen

Hi all!

I've got a small problem here and chose to go to the experts (you guys) for help. I've got an 8 inch widescreen Lilliput touchscreen monitor (part number CL8889NT) and so far so good. However, when I display some of my photos, they seem stretched (left to right). My current screen resolution is set to 1024 x 768, but I get the same results at all resolutions. I'm running Windows XP SP2. Hope I've provided enough info here. Let me know otherwise.

Anyone, help.....please!

They seem stretched because its a widescreen and the pics are 4x3.

Actually it is because the resolution is wrong.

If you run it at the CORRECT resolution the pictures will no longer be stretched. If it is 800*480 which I think it is try that. Then the pics will be perfect. Though there will be a blank spot on each side of the picture. The same thing happens if I run my desktop at something besides 1680x1050...

I've tried every resolution possible. The lowest resolution on my 8 inch screen is 800 x 600. The picture looks stretched no mater what resolution I set it to. There's got to be another solution to this. My laptop is a wide screen and it doesn't matter what resolution I set on it, the pictures always look great.

There's got to be a solution to this.
