We have found at least a decent mechanism to open/close monitor for Mazda 6 (Atenza).

It's from a chinesse manufacturer. Fits 7" screen (not included). Price will be arround $200 plus shipping. Normally they only sell complet systems (with monitor and DVD player), but through a mazda spanish forum http://www.mazdaseis.com they agree to sell the parts shown above if we purchase 20 units.

The price for the housing is more closely to 200 dollars shipped from china but it does not come with a screen and a controller. People attempted to build a controller and failed miserably.

If you want one that comes with a touchscreen, screen, and controller, it will cost around 560 Shipped! From China of course.

They call it the holy grail over in the mazda6club.
