Powering LCD with MacPac Cable...
I assume this is supposted to go in this category...
I installed my P1900 and just got my MacPac cable in... I installed my Dynamix 8.6" LCD in my headliner and ran all my lines through the pillars.
Now... the MacPac cable comes with a ground wire and both a brownish purple & red one.
The red one read 18v on my multimeter and the brownish one was reading 12.5v
now connecting my screen to the 12.5v works fine but looks quite dim - the viewing angle is sorta bad, but I was wondering if it is safe to hook it up to the 18v line... I know what I want to hear and what I am assuming I'll hear.
Just wishful thinking I guess! What are your thoughts here? Is anyone else's screen dim when your driving around in the day time... I thought by putting it in the headliner it would help some of the glare, but I guess not...
