i was looking to get a new deck. thinking of one of these....
but what do you guys think? i wouldnt mind a touchscreen either but i think it would get dirty. basically need something to watch dvds, videos, ipod hookup to it ect. the more options the better.

I think that it would be a poor choice for a PC display. VGA is the way to go.

Have you ever seen a PC display pumped tyhrough a composite or svideo connection?
It's marginal at best. Search the forums on this topic. IT's been repeated over and over and over again.

For a crystal-clear display, VGA is the way to go.

I'll second that. When I just started thinking about putting a computer in my car I bought a $1200 flip out DVD player with touch screen thinking it'll be a good investment if I got a carputer in the future. Well 6 months later I paid $450 for a Xenarc VGA screen. So it was a big waste of money because the picture sucked, plus the touchscreen won't work with the computer.

mp3car.com is a site for car COMPUTER enthusiasts. If you aren't interested in a CarPC, then spend your money on that if you like. It just is not what we are here for.
