XENARC 700IDT vs Lilliput GL701-NP/C/T

I am putting a MacMini in my Infiniti G35 and would like to have the screen exactly like this guy's AVIC:

http://g35driver.com/forums/showpost...4&postcount=13

Except I dont need an AVIC since I have the MacMini, so I have been looking at the XENARC 700IDT and Lilliput GL701-NP/C/T being that they have Mac OS X drivers.

The Xenarc is almost as expensive as the Lilliput but not motorized which hurts the coolness factor a lot, but makes for one less thing to break. I also like the physical look of the Xenarc a lot more. There are no reviews on it in the MP3Car.com store.

The lilliput is motorized but is kinda ugly and has some TERRIBLE reviews on the MP3Car.com store (http://store.mp3car.com/ProductDetai...Show=TechSpecs).

Im on a pretty tight budget so I cant afford to buy a screen thats only going to have to be replaced in a year.

Anyone want to chime in on their experiences with either of these displays? I really appreciate it!

First of all, the drivers for the vast majority of touchscreens (in-dash, stand-alone, motorized, manual or otherwise) are exactly the same, and there are MacOS drivers for them all. There is no need to limit yourself to only Xenarc & Lilliput models.

Second of all, NONE of the in-dash screens have a look and feel of quality. They are all first-generation products, and as such, there are some build quality issues. From what I understand, the Xenarc is better in this regard, but there are still issues.

DarquePervert: Thanks for the info! I now have every other component for my install except the screen. Have any recommendations? I really want to have the screen and be ready for install by July.

lilliput has just released a 4th generation gl-701 monitor. They just came out within the past 2 weeks. I have not had time to play with one, but even externally you can see that they have made improvemets. Even the 3rd gen 701's were for the most part problem free for us.It was the 2nd generation units that were plagued by gear failures and other issues. I put up a post tonight with pics of the 4th gen units.
