Post Bendable LCD

may be old news, but this is awesome technology!

check it out here

imagine replacing your car's paint with that? change your color when you want, display pictures, maps etc..

the best thing i would use it for is.... camouflage!
take a pic of the landscape, and then project it on you car's paint, brilliant!

This is great for carpc users as we wouldn't need to modify much in the car, we can just stick it to the dash, the steering wheel (if no airbag available), centre console etc...

viewing angle looks to be 180 degrees too!

hmmm the army might use this as a camouflage suit!

what would you do with this?

this would be fantstic in portable devices such as ipods / phones etc that you always sit on and crack the screen.. I agree the flexable properties look ace.. and how good do them glass tv's look.. 11mm thick !!

Where's this flexible LCD you speak of? All I see is a flexible OLED. Completely different technology. LCD is passive and requires a backlight or reflective background. OLED is emmissive and requires no such thing.

But the OLED is very cool all the same.
