Dual screens with different content - how?

Okay I know how to set up dual screens, I've done it several times for desktop PCs. But what I want to know is how to set up my carpc so my front end (RR) runs on one screen (front) and a movie or whatever else is playing on the other (rear) screen. I've seen pictures and searched for how-to's on here, but I can't really find anything other than using WinDVD for video. I plan on buying a smallish LCD screen to put in my back seat for my kids.

There should be a video overlay option in the driver to direct all video overlay to a specific monitor. I have it on my ATI, so movies play fullscreen to my secondary monitor (TV). So I can watch movies and surf the net or play games at the same time.

I run this setup mentioned in my Audi (Have ATI 9800Pro GFX-card). As soon as i start playing a video. The video shows as usual on mainscreen in front. But back monitors only show the video in fullscreen. If i toutch front monitor to adjust volume and so on. There is nothing shown on the rear monitors exept for the fullscreen video playing. If i stop playing a video. They se the same as i do. Can also direct game play to front or rear. Or both... Pretty cool future from ati.

BUT.... I hope someone can help me put here.. When i start a video (DVD or other). Its all fine. But if i wana se the GPS upp front. The video stops playing and the back seat sees what i see again. Is there a way to be able to popp out of the video screen without the video stops playing. But continues in the background!? (like the .mp3 player). Annyone done this?

Would be awsome.

If setting usedualmon=false, you can not having video play on 2ndary monitor and gps on at the same time because it will force video to stop and play music.

It also usefull for those who has music video playing and having gps showing instead of the video which is illegal is most/all places while vehicle is in motion.

Should be sett in "RR.ini" btw.

I wrote a little application that runs on rr flash skins.. You can change the size , startup position and you can get it to change skins , embed apps from within RR, so say you are watching video on the front screen, you can have a button that sends this video screen to my app.. have a look at this thread and the little vid I did. You can also add buttons to my app in flash which will be sent to road runner.. remember this isnt just a second screen, its a completely different app, so can do much more

O dear..
This looks like a good thing. Have to take a closer look at this one i think. Whas thinking about mounting another toutch screen in the back of another project car i am currently working on for a friend (heavy modded 53 Chevy). Whas thinking about running dual copies of RR. But this seams like a better easier and more functional solution maybe.

About the 53 Chevy. It's like, roof chopped 50 style hotrod outside and 2019 inn side grate fun to work with. I only do the interior and electrics on the project.
