ribbon cable vga mod interference?

finally... had to wait like 20 mins before that "read before posting" page would let me pass. I digress...
hello, I'm new. haven't really gotten started on my pc yet, just collecting ideas and funding.

I found a roll of ribbon cable at a thrift store (haven't gotten it yet as I couldn't think how I could use it.)

then it occurred to me, if I put my car pc in the trunk, I could use it to make a vga cable to go to the front. but I know those are usually shielded and stuff. would the display be all crazy and have lots of noise if I did this?

I'm guessing it would. sure would be nice to find a good use for that though...
any ideas? if you can think of any I might get it tomorrow. if it's still there.

haha that is a good idea. too bad it's the boring grey colored cable and not the rainbow color kind.
