Lilliput EBY701 Help!!
I just received my EBY701 from Digitalww.com, I plugged it in to my computer, plugged the AC adapter in, turned the screen on, and it stays on for about a second then the screen goes blank. The buttons are still lit up, and the power is on, but the screen is blank. Also, when I plugged my x box in to the AV jacks, turned it to video 1 (says in the top right corner), even when the screen is on for a second, nothing shows up. Any help is very much appreciated, I'm getting very frustrated. Thanks.

Your best bet is to send it back.

Exactly what I didn't want to hear after waiting a week to get started on the project, but thanks for the input.

It may be worth checking your Acc or Batt wires. I had a similar issue. The one wire gives it power, but without the other one connected there is nothing on the screen. Although you can still open and close it.
Try connecting both to a +12v source for testing.
OP
*EDIT - Ignore me, its too early in the morning. I have the GL701, not the EBY701*
(I would still double check all connections as mentioned below)

Mine did that when I did not hook up an AC adapter with enough amperage.

All connections are tight. I'm using the AC Adapter they supplied me, I don't know why it wouldn't have enough amperage. I tried plugging the DC adapter into my car to see if it would just stay on, but did the same thing and shut off after a second.

Yeah, I tried plugging it into my car, but no luck. Digitallww.com told me to try another adapter, so I tried all the AC adapters in my house, and one of them makes it stay on a couple more seconds, and I can actually see a picture (PC, Xbox, etc.) But one of the AC adapters made it smoke. It still works with the other one after the smoke, but I don't think it was very good for it. Maybe I'll just send it back.

I tried to use the same ones, but jwlionking suggested there wasn't enough amperage. So i got despirate and tried all of them that would fit. I have a 7" TFT LCD, non touchscreen, thats the adapter that made it smoke, I figured that'd be the closest one, but obviously not. :S

could you try hooking it up to your xbox, then pluggin the power in like 10 seconds later. even if the screen is only on for a second you should be able to see you xbox display on it. Im wondering if its a video issue and not a power issue as you say that the screen still stays powered on.

I would still say its a power issue.
I would connect it straight to the battery with some crimps and see what happens...

stealth- I tried that before, and I got it to show the Xbox and PC for like 3 seconds with the other adapter. Its definitely not a video issue, thanks though.
