On this auction http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...3D3%26PO%3DOp1 theres a picture of a screen very similar to these ones, and there's an ever-so-small picture of the cables that come with it, it looks like there is a USB cable with RCA inputs that comes with it. The description alludes to this as well.

If it came down to it, you could always get an RCA-to-vga converter, and then use a VGA switch to switch between the inputs. It would be kinda a quick and dirty fix if you can't find out more about this.

Before you go that route though, I'd try calling the sellers and find out if there's supposed to be another cable in there.

little dongle on the vga connector is for 12v input. As for rca connection (yellow) use the usb port on the side. it isn't an actual usb port, but mine came with a wiring harness that connected to the usb plug.

And the "12v input" is how you would power it in the car? If not what's its use?

Why does it have a power input on the VGA cable, and on the side of the screen? Oh well, that answers the question, clearly they didn't include one of the cables for the RCA inputs. Just as I suspected.

you could always modify a skin & have a frontend display in a clipped area, but when your not in the front end & in windows I don't think there is a way to do what your after.... modify the bezel or get a screen that fits is the only logical answer

After looking a bit more carefully, I found the usb to male rca cord in the box! I guess I have been working to hard.

Of course the rca connections are male on both the cable and the camera but that should be an easy fix.

Hi I'm sorry but I'm really new to this. what do you mean by have a frontend display in a clipped area. So far I have Road Runner and Centafuse and I don't really know how to do that. Thanks.

Not trying to be rude, but... If you have to ask, it's probably not something you're going to be able to do.

Which Samsung LCD Panel in SHK1040 - LTN or LTA?

Samsung no longer makes a 10.4" LCD Panel. Does anybody know which Samsung 10.4" LCD Panel is used in SHK1040? Is it LTN104S2 or LTA104S1? I really need to find an LTN104S2.

If the jackasses at gooddeals18 ever get their act together and send me my damned screens, I'll check on it for you. But here I am in the wee hours of day 19, and still have yet to see my screens, or ANY response from Gooddeals to the 3 e-mails I've sent. They did debit my account on about day 13 after my order was placed. Of course this was 3 days AFTER actually CALLING them, and complaining to them. They weren't answering their phones Thursday-Monday, and I didn't try calling yesterday.

Buyer beware, these guys have no clue what the hell they're doing, it's taken them 19 days, and counting, and I still haven't seen my screens. If they don't show up tomorrow, I'm contacting them for a refund, and then putting in a little call to the Better Business Bureau.

If your time is worth ANYTHING, don't bother ordering from these guys. The $20-$30 you save by ordering from them is absolutely NOT worth it.

I could have ordered directly from China, and gotten it twice as fast as this!

F--k GoodDeals18!

Hi guys,
I've been lurking for a long time...
I bought one of the 10.4s from GoodDeals and got it next day. It had 1 stuck(dead?) pixel and emailed them about their pixel policy and got a response in a few hours(not defective-I assumed that).

Just my experience...got it a week and a half ago. It seems to be a pretty nice screen for the $$.

I ordered my screen Aug 30 and it arrived 5 days later even with a holiday weekend. Maybe i lucked out. I ordered a 8" and i guess since they are out they sent me a 10.4" free of charge. They did not tell me they were out of stock though... I ordered from ebay.
