Alternative Transflective display?

In an attempt to find an alternative transflective display (cannot justify $700 for a 7" screen), I came across this on ebay.

It has an 8" transflective touchscreen LCD (yes, it's only 640x480, but if i want to run a frontend like mythtv, who cares?). Does anyone think it would be possible to rip out the LCD and make any use of it in a carputer?
