LCD with laptop

Ok, I have a P3 laptop with a 40gig hard drive, dvd, 256.... not a bad system, but the lcd is bad! There is a red line goin down the side of it and the casing around it is breaking and messing it up. So I was thinkin of taking the screen off (can I just cut those wires so I don't have to take it apart?) and then just using that piece as the cpu in my car! Can I just buy a PCMCIA card to hook up an LCD screen? There are some cards out there that use both RCA and s-video.

That laptop should also be have a VGA port, and may even have a composite or S-Video port.

But I am now lookin on the back and I think there may also be a S-vid port too! I just gotta look on my pc at work cause that has one that I could compare it to, I don't know exactly what it looks like! Man I am stupid....lol

S-Video is a 4 pin Mini DIN connection, kinda looks like a PS2 with fewer pins.
