How do you use a Laptop screen?

I pulled the screen out of an old IBM thinkpad. It is a TFT screen I believe as it this is written on it's connection cables. How do I use one for an LCD screen in my car system? I've seen posts about using them, but what I want to know is: what is needed to use one, and how do I do it?

Thanks

Michael

1st: search for info on the board
2nd: write down the model-nr of your display and
3rd: contact Datalux to see if they have a controller card which will communicate with your screen..
4th: order controller card
5th: connect the display to the card using the Hirose (search) cable
6th and last : play with it and have fun...

Mind you.......
these controller cards are NOT CHEAP (ie. $200)

(sorry, i'm in some kind of wacky mood.... had to much fat and food-colouring-stuff at lunch at work.....)

But basically..
It's not cheap if you want full-colour-hi-res-video-display in your car.

Good Luck
Greetz,
