Laptop Screen without the Laptop

I have a broken HP laptop here with a 17" widescreen LCD that works perfectly. The power plug on the mobo snapped off and so the laptop is no longer usable. Even if it was, I don't care, I bought a new one to replace it months ago. I'd like to be able to remove the screen and use it for a nice, extremely slim, flip down monitor for my back seat passengers to enjoy movies and eventually surf the web or play games when I get that far. If it helps, I drive a 2003 Lincoln LS without a sunroof.

Not ot be snotty, but perhaps you could do your own research. Use the search function please. There's at least a couple hundred threads on it and a FAQ if I recall......
