Question in dash lcd durability

http://store.mp3car.com/Mp3car_MTSVO_SC_p/mon-025.htm

in dash lcds like the above, how durable do you think they are? They seem pretty flimsy to me. I'm asking because I plan setting up a control panel using the touch lcd to turn on a manual fan switch, brake control solenoid, etc. when I take my car to the race track, I don't want to have to open the lcd, do my burn out then close it back up again. Just wondering how well it'll handle hard shifting?
