Anyone using this In-dash screen? & wiring ?

http://cgi.ebay.com/In-Dash-MOTORIZE...QQcmdZViewItem

I am curious to see if anyone is using it and have any feedback on it.
I purchased this and got the package in a few days. I was playing with it tonight and got it all installed. The drivers that came with it were old and I couldn't add the screen and the caliberation menu was grey'd out.
So after searching I found the newest drivers here
http://www.eeti.com.tw/web20/eg/drivers.htm
Once installed, I did the 4 point caliberation and the thing works like a charm.

My only grip is that the directions are very very unclear and are not detailed.

Ok, on to other things. When I turn off the key the screen will close on it's own. Kinda cool feature, but I was thinking (tell me if this is a bad idea or not) about wiring it so that when I turn the key off it will stay open. The car sits in my garage or at my parents house from time to time. So would it be a good idea so that I don't wear out the internals and possibly get longer life out of the motor?
Also, to do it, do I just get rid of the constant 12v and make both power sources ignition power?

Also, I had it on for a about 1-2hrs today and it does get warm to the touch, but I'm sure that's normal.

Your input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Search the forum for a K90.
Yes, it's been used and people have opinions.

The Ebay auction you linked to has videos of the operation of the unit that have the model number in the filename of the videos.

It's all about attention to detail.

I would be, too.
All these motorized screens are first generation, and the mechanical apprati have all had reports of quality and/or build issues.
Many users have had the mechanicals fail on them shorty after purchase.

i am almost sure the mechanicals are the same as the k301..
the mechanical parts controling the flip up/down are metallic..(in comparison to the motorized lilliput) and i have mine open/close at least 5-6 times a week.. for 19 months now..no sign of a problem..although i can assure you that even motorized kenwoods have mechanical problems with months of use..

Ok, but for now if I wanted to leave it open, I just get rid of the constant power and make them both igntion, right?
I'm still trying to figure out the park wire as well, weather or not it makes a difference being grounded or not

the unit has two 12v inputs, one for powering the unit and another for checking if the ignition is on.. i am not sure if you make them both ignition whether it will keep the memory settings OK!!
the park wire should only make a difference in using the other two AV modes, it should not make a difference in VGA mode.
