Power question
I have got a 8" Lilliput screen and tried to power it up in the house using a 12V adaptor, now the screen would not output the PC's image and i thought the screen was broken, however i had a brainwave and took it to the car and plugged it in to the cig lighter using the adaptor supplied. Once hooked up to my laptop all was well (phew!) my question is does the 12v that the car outputs differ from the 12v the adaptor puts out (i'm no electrical guru) and if so is there any way to power up the screen in the house to work on the config, I dont want to keep taking it out to the car with a 75 foot extension cable for the PC
Regards

What is the current rating of aforementioned 12v adapter?

There is your difference. 300mA is not enough to power that screen.

Look on the screen, or in the manual, it should say.

yes. Better to get something that can handle a bit more though, say 1A.
