Yes you use the remote to enter factory mode. Once in factory mode, use the buttons on the LCD.
You don't have to set all the options. I was just listing each one out for the purpose of a guide. The only option you NEED to set for auto power on is the Power Mode option.
You'll love the 629. I had a 619 that whitescreened on me and the 629 is much better quality. The connector for the inputs is also much sturdier. I don't get any of the blurryness that some people are reporting. Perhaps they fixed that as well.
