Can anyone tell me if these films will give any benefit to an ultra bright LED upgrade where light will be directed frontward anyway?

I didn't see an option for the degree for the DBEF E. When I viewed the product page for it they only listed 45 degree and 0 degree. So I placed a note in my application description that I needed 0 degree. Did everyone else place phone orders or something because I saw no option on the DBEF E for 90 degree.

I havent heard a thing. Perhaps a very sudden increase in sample requests for this stuff peaked their interest!
Anyone have a legit place to actually buy the stuff?

I was going to say that lady at the samples desk is probably wondering why her workload went up 10x last week : )
They don't sample all of their products, and I'm assuming that's for a reason. I will see if I can get my hands on a bunch.
Are there 200 people interested in placing a bulk order with Xenarc? Might as well have the factory do it for us if we can get enough to buy the same unit.
Xenarc used to have a OE-700 paert number that was a transflective upgrade, but they quit doing it because the screens are brighter now and they don't think it's required.

I would think a ultra bright LED upgrade would help more, do you have any pics ? Is it bright enough to see in the sun ?

<edited content see below post>
I also am having 3m ship me a sample pack of their anti-glare that is used in conjunction for similar applications.
When you do your Xenarc, you are going to post step by step pictures right?

Group Buys are a good way to get an entire thread closed/locked/deleted, so you've been warned...

no problem. I have seen many useful threads get closed because of just the mention of... "it". And this is a cool thread, so I want it to stay!

I suspect with the increase in sample requests, several of us will get denied. Still not sure I ordered the right thing since I didn't see an option for 90 degree DBEF-E. Wish I had requested an anti-glare as well. Instead I request a different DBEF and a different BEF. Hopefully we can find places to purchase this stuff since I'm certain after this wave of sample requests, they're gonna tighten the restraints on who they give samples to.

Kevin -
Call up and have them correct the issue. I called up because one of the film's plastic protectants were slightly damaged, and requested a new film and the anti-glare.
It depends how many companies ask for samples on average. Our community requests might be only a 3-5% increase, or it might be a 200% increase.
Also, the 11" samples should be enough for two 7" screens, in which case you can have my extra/left over at the next mp3car meet.

I'm still curious as to where anyone seen an option for 90 degree DBEF-E. On the DBEF-E product page here:
http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3...AbcPageHandler
They only list 45 and 0 degree.
On the sample request page here:
http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3.../ordersamples/
There isn't even an option to select 45 or 0 degree(much less 90 degree).
I'm just curious as to were anyone found a reference to 90 degree DBEF-E. The BEF II is listed as 90 degree on the product page for all the BEF products, but I have seen no mention anywhere of 90 degree DBEF-E. I'm just curious is all, I want to make sure everyone is on the same page and when we get to comparing results, we're comparing apples to apples. I'm just still baffled as to whether or not a 90 degree DBEF-E actually exists. I just wanna see something that clearly labels it as 90 Degree. If people are just requesting 90-degree in the notes or not requesting a specific degree at all, you may not be getting what you think. Does your's actually read as 90 degree anywhere phatsacks?
