I havent finished it yet. Yes it will be daylight readable.

My interpretation from that site is that because the ccfls are mounted on the edges and shot down a luminum sheeting the light ends up going both ways back and froward which can be visible if you have ever turned on a raw lcd panel. This film recycles that light and send it in the right direction again and at a better accuracy. So if im right thse films will be useless in my application. Anti glare might be ok.

Did you receive a confirmation email from 3m, or did they just arrive at your doorstep?

Ok thats where I was confused. You were getting the 45 degree. 2k1Toaster I think it was, made reference to a 90 degree DBEF-E(or at least that's how I read it) and Changeip originally said he wished he had gotten it in 90 degree. I was just confused because on the vikuiti website, I have seen no mention of DBEF-E being available in 90 degree. I'm assuming then that people have just been following in Changeip's footsteps and getting the 45 degree.

Whoops, sorry. I had read the "i wish I got 90" and went from there. But 0 is the same as 90 on a square sheet. Just rotate it 90 degrees, and you get a 90 degree sheet. At least that is how I perceive polarization to work, and dont know why it wouldnt...

Okay everyone, I have lots of BEFII 90/50 film coming - so if you dont want samples and just want a sheet or two I will have them. They might take 1-2 weeks to get here, I'll post updates shortly.

I got a human-written response -

I received your request for samples of BEF II and DBEF. However, based upon the application information you provided of: Evaluation of touchscreen display readability enhancement in automobile application, we may have other films which would better meet your needs.
I have a few questions for you to determine this.
1. Will you be placing the films behind the bezel or on the front surface?
2. What size is your display?
With answers to these questions, I can determine which films are suitable for your application.
