FUZZY LCD screen solutions ?

Ive looked through 51 pages in the LCD display section but can anyone suggest solutions to my touchscreen LCD being fuzzy ?
when the engine is turned off its GREAT, but when i start the engine and whilst driving,
its like bad TV reception

my planned solutions are:
-going to the electronics shop and making something thats a constant 12V source instead of being spurious
-making my ground connection more solid and larger ground cabling
-trying to insulate the VGA, power and earth cables
anyone care to add ? or is the problem just underlying with mine

I have opted for a cheapo solution where the power is fed via my CD plater 12V connection, my laptop is the carputer, could this be the problem /?

okay i did some inital testing of the basics it seems the plot thickens,

when i plug in my laptop(running on battery) just on monitor mode the screen is fine all the time, as soon as i plug in any usb plug in any of the three ports thats when it goes fuzzy, this includes my mouse, my tactrix cable and the usb port for the monitor touchscreen

so it seems the usb port is causing my laptop vga port to output fuzzy pictures, i wonder why

I had similar problem to you, it was a real nightmare to solve!
What I had to do was ground the back plane of the laptop (from one of the metal posts that you normally screw into to secure connections) onto a good grounding point of the car.
I also fitted ferrite cores to my VGA leads to try and stop interference from other cables.
Lastly I made sure I had a really good ground connection on the back of my screen.

I think I used the Printer port, but VGA would do just a well. Are the binding posts even plastic on your laptop ? Even on the latest and greatest I've only ever seen metal ones like these: http://content.answers.com/main/cont...-SVGA_port.jpg
