It looks like some of the places linked will actually ship to the US. Cartft looks to be the easiest to do so.

so after having this in my car a week or two i'd have to see that im VERY pleased. before with my xenarc, on a bright day, the screen was very hard to read even with windows up and no sunlight directly on the screen.
now with the linitx, i can drive with the windows down and sun hitting the screen directly, and i have NO problem reading anything. even using a night skin during the day looks great. all images are nice and bright, they dont even get washed out. there is a slight reflection from the touchpanel on occasion, but it is so minor its not noticeable. when sunlight hit the panel directly or at an angle, the visibility drops only 5-10% in my opinion. this really is a great solution and a lot less expensive than the transflective.

Does anyone know if there is a service menu for this thing? I would like to change the auto dim settings. The brightest setting is only 70 and should be 100.

But, why buy it from there? It is much cheaper on Linitx, and they ship to most locations, including USA.

The cartft one is transflective. The linitx is just high brightness.

TMR Technology - Reflective surfaces inside the TFT cell structure direct ambient light back through the display, giving improved daylight readability.
That sounds transreflective to me. Reflecting ambient light back through the display is exactly what transreflective does.

"Unlike a transflective display, TMR is more transmissive than reflective, with some reflective properties. The advantage is better color saturation than a true transflective technology."

Yes, they are different animals, but isn't this thread for the linitx one? The reviews and pics for the linitx in this thread seem pretty positive, so why not just get that one, especially as it's cheaper.
Just my $0.02

I see, so there are some differences. I still think (from the pictures) that this display looks great in direct sunlight. It's close enough to the transreflective ones, and a good deal cheaper.
